Handyman for a Day

1. Licensure; Scope Limits

American Developer Group, LLC (“ADG”) (CGC1538374) offers “Handyman for a Day” as a non-structural, small-repairs service. The service does not constitute general contracting, construction management, or project supervision services.

The service does not include:
(a) tasks requiring separately licensed trades (including, without limitation, new or modified electrical wiring, electrical panels, gas work, concealed plumbing or soldering, or HVAC);
(b) structural, framing, or load-bearing modifications;
(c) use of heavy or hazardous equipment (including jackhammers or cutting structural elements);
(d) high-risk or elevated work beyond safe reach or stable access;
(e) any work that violates applicable building codes, safety standards, or laws.

ADG reserves the right to decline, stop, or modify any task that is unsafe, non-compliant, or outside the permitted scope.

2. Time Block; What Is Included

A “full day” consists of up to eight (8) hours of total working time scheduled within the 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. window. Working time includes arrival, walkthrough, task planning, site preparation, material runs or pickups, performance of tasks, and cleanup.

Services are provided strictly on a time-and-effort basis. Completion of any specific task is not guaranteed and depends on time availability, site conditions, and reasonable professional judgment.

Basic consumables (such as screws, anchors, caulk, and patching compound) are included. Tasks not completed within the time block may be continued by booking an additional service day.

3. Materials; No Markup

Materials are purchased and paid for directly by the Customer to the retailer (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe’s, Sherwin-Williams, Ace), via phone or online. No markup is added by ADG. Time spent traveling to or picking up materials counts toward the paid time.

ADG is not responsible for the suitability, compatibility, availability, or performance of Customer-selected materials. Returns are subject to the retailer’s return policies.

4. Pricing; Booking; Cancellation

Price: Flat rate of $849 per day (up to 8 hours).
Payment: Full payment is collected at the time of booking and applied to the scheduled service date.

Booking: Appointments may be scheduled no earlier than the second calendar day following the booking date.

Cancellation / Reschedule:
• Cancellation at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit: 50% retained / 50% refunded.
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the visit, no-show, or failure to provide access: 100% retained (no refund).

Minimum: Service is offered only in full 8-hour blocks. Additional days are billed at the same rate.

5. Owner Responsibilities; Access; Safety

The Customer must provide timely access to the property, a clear and safe work area, electricity, water (if required), and reasonable working conditions. ADG does not move heavy furniture or large items without proper equipment.

Pets must be secured away from the work area. ADG will not perform work in the presence of hazardous conditions, including but not limited to mold, asbestos, active leaks, or exposed live wiring, until such conditions are properly remediated.

ADG is not responsible for damage to hidden, unknown, or undisclosed utilities, wiring, plumbing, or building components not visible or identified prior to the work.

ADG is not responsible for outcomes resulting from Customer instructions that override professional recommendations.

6. Quality; Workmanship Warranty

Work is performed to professional small-repair and finish standards. ADG provides a limited 30-day workmanship warranty from the date a specific task is completed, covering correction of defects directly attributable to ADG’s workmanship.

This warranty applies only to workmanship, and does not guarantee outcomes, aesthetics, or personal preferences.

The warranty does not cover:
(a) normal wear and tear or use-related damage;
(b) hidden or underlying structural or substrate defects;
(c) work performed according to Customer-directed methods contrary to ADG recommendations;
(d) Customer-supplied materials (including mismatches, shade variations, clearance or closeout items);
(e) weather conditions or other external factors.

Except as expressly stated, no other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are provided. Manufacturer warranties on materials pass through to the Customer.

7. Photos; Reviews; Portfolio

ADG may document work with photos or videos for quality control and portfolio purposes without disclosing personal information or addresses. Customers may request that specific areas not be photographed.

By submitting reviews, testimonials, or before-and-after images, the Customer grants ADG a royalty-free, perpetual right to use such content for marketing and promotional purposes.

8. Payment; Tips; Taxes

The service price does not include applicable sales or use taxes, which will be added if required by law. Gratuities are optional and do not affect warranty coverage. ADG does not add markup to materials.

9. Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ADG’s total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the “Handyman for a Day” service is limited to the amount actually paid by the Customer for the corresponding service day. ADG is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Nothing herein limits liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Compliance; Permits

All work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. Tasks requiring permits, inspections, or specialty licensing are excluded from this service and may be addressed only under a separate agreement with a properly licensed professional.

11. Changes; Task Feasibility

Actual feasibility and sequencing of tasks depend on site conditions, safety considerations, and time constraints. On the service day, ADG may adjust the task plan to ensure safe and efficient performance.

12. Disputes

This Disclaimer and the services provided are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the service shall be brought exclusively in the county where the service is performed, following good-faith efforts to resolve the matter through ADG support.
